Carl Taylor-President
Carl has over 25 years experience as a business owner, marketing manager, sound designer, engineer and production manager for various musical tours and events. He specializes in large scale religious and civic events and has coordinated successful audio systems for such projects as Millennium Philadelphia, Women of Faith, Billy Graham Crusades, Presidential Inaugurals, Mobile Tri-Centennial, and Focus on the Family as well as touring productions for Steven Curtis Chapman, 4-Him, Point of Grace, Jaci Velasquez and FFH. He understands the needs of each client to convey their message to the audience whether in spoken word, leading worship or musical segments and tailors systems and staffing to meet those needs. |

Mike Taylor-Director of Performance Audio
Mike has extensive experience in system deployment and large scale festival and television set changes and patching. He has skillfully handled these duties for the Women of Faith International Conference (taped for television), MTV Latin Music Awards, Country Music Awards (live television), Amy Grant “Hymns and Faith” Tour, Jaci Velasquez/Clay Crosse Tour and several Festivals and special events. He has completed course work at the Syn-Aud-Con audio training school, and is factory trained in Yamaha Digital consoles, JBL VerTec, SIA Smaart Live software and is also factory authorized for JBL and Funktion-One speaker re-coning. He brings 10 years of industry experience and a great sense of humor to his leadership role. |

Tyler Spaid – Controller
Tyler was the CFO at an independent record label before he joined us here at CTS. He earned his MBA in finance from Belmont University in 2003 and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. Tyler’s heavily involved in youth ministry as well as volunteering for mixing duties for his church. Tyler brings a high level of detail and financial oversight to our growing firm. |

Billy McCarthy – Director of Audio/Visual Installation
Raised in Atlanta, Billy graduated with honors from Berry College in the foothills of Rome, Georgia. After nearly 14 years of selling fiber optic networks for BellSouth Telecommunications, he left Atlanta to start Wiregrass Church, a North Point Community Church strategic partnership in Dothan, Alabama. After serving two years as its Service Program Director, he left Wiregrass to start Cumberland Church in Franklin, Tennessee – another North Point strategic partner. Still attending Cumberland Church, Billy now leads the CTS Audio/Video Installation team of experts, bringing a passion and creativity to produce relevant environments in churches throughout the nation. Billy is an infoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). |

Weston Smith-Audio Engineer
Weston is a graduate of Belmont University with a Bachelors Degree in Music Business. He has toured as FOH engineer and Production Manager for Avalon, Twila Paris, Mark Schultz and Sara Groves. He is also called upon regularly for orchestral music programs, church conferences and corporate events. He is certified in Yamaha Digital consoles including the PM1D and is able to manage detailed scripts and sophisticated audio cueing. He has recently completed his factory training in JBL VerTec speaker systems and SIA Smaart Live software. |

Ben Christy – Director of Sales and Marketing
Born and raised in Nashville, TN, Ben graduated with honors from Lipscomb University in 2000. Since then he has worked at The Resource Agency as part of the marketing team promoting the popular Left Behind Series. In 2004, Ben left the agency to head up Kyros Entertainment, a college marketing company that worked with Tyndale House Publishers, NavPress Publishers, LifeWay Christian Resources, Provident Music Group, Universal Studios and others. With over 7 years of marketing experience, Ben brings his enthusiasm for marketing to the audio industry including performance audio, installation, and high-end audio retail sales. |

Jon “Schwarzy” Schwarz – Audio Engineer
Jon’s been with CTS for the past 4 years after relocating from his home town of Tulsa, Oklahoma. “Schwarzy” as he’s known to all, spent two years with Teen Mania, a mentoring and training multi-media ministry based in Lindale Texas. During that time, he traveled nation-wide as the monitor engineer for their Acquire the Fire youth program. He has toured with Women of Faith and Avalon as a system tech and provided his monitor engineering expertise Sonic Flood, Mark Schultz, Revolve and Amy Grant. Schwarzy has completed his factory certification in JBL VerTec Speaker systems, Yamaha Digital Consoles, Soundweb London and SIA Smaart Live software. He’s also completed factory training with Sennheiser. Recently he’s been busy as Crew Chief and FOH engineer for the ATF stadium shows, “Battle Cry”. |

Danny Rosenbalm – Director of Pro Audio Sales
Originally from Knoxville, TN, Danny Rosenbalm graduated from the University of Tennessee completing the bachelors and masters programs in economics. After six years in outside sales experience with Musician’s Friend and Guitar Center Pro during college, he left the music world to climb the corporate ladder in Oak Ridge, TN, with AIMSI Technologies. After a two year tenure in international business development in the Homeland Security marketplace, he left AIMSI to become the Director of Development and Production with Vumii, an advanced, long-range night vision optics company based in Israel. After three years circling the globe, Danny has returned to his first love of music, leading the Pro Audio Sales team at CTS. Danny brings an in-depth knowledge of live sound and recording technologies making him a great part of our expert team. |

Brian Pearce, CTS-D, ISF-C – Project Manager
Brian’s passion for AV dates back to his childhood. At age 13 he began mixing sound for the worship team at his church and has never looked back. Brian served as the Technical Director of a busy Seattle church for 3 years, so he understands the unique demands placed on that position. After earning his degree in Audio Production from the Art Institute of Seattle, he served in the engineering department of a west coast design/installation firm designing large scale audio and video systems primarily for the church market. Brian is infoComm CTS-D and ISF-C certified. He handles our CAD design, assists with EASE modeling and provides on-site video training for our permanent installations. |

Peter Clarke – Field Operations Manager
Having studied Electrical Engineering and Design Technologies at LeTourneau University in Longview, TX, Peter worked for CCI Solutions in Olympia, Washington for 6 years as their Assistant Project Manager for installation projects including churches, stadiums, and conference centers. Peter’s ability to understand the dynamics of complex installation projects allows him to complete projects efficiently and on time. When not working on installation projects, Peter enjoys the outdoors; hiking, rafting, and off-road driving. Peter is also an infoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). |

David McMullin – Audio Engineer Dave provides audio engineering services including both FOH and Monitor duties. He spent two years as the in-house monitor engineer at the Recher Theatre in Towson, Maryland and also worked for the Archdiocese of Baltimore before joining CTS. He is certified in all Yamaha Digital Consoles as well as JBL VerTec systems and recently received his certification with SIA Smaart Live software. He has toured with Hawk Nelson, Acquire the Fire, Sandi Patty, Chonda Pierce and Women of Faith as well as currently being deployed as the monitor engineer for Revolve. An avid rock climber and kayaker, Dave likes to spend his down time in the wild outdoors. |

Jacob Park – Installation Technician
Before leaving his native Korea, Jae-Jin (also known as Jacob) earned a BS in Physics from Myongji University. After moving to Tennessee he earned his Bachelors Degree in Recording Industry from Middle Tennessee State University. Back in Korea, Jacob served Soodong Presbyterian Church as an audio engineer for more than 10 years and worked as the Assistant Manager of an A/V installation firm. As our Lead Installation Technician, Jacob ensures that all of our installations / terminations are to the highest standards. He also does extensive programming for our audio/video control systems. Jacob is an infoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). |

Ed Crippen – Systems Consultant
Ed has established himself as a much sought after sound designer, audio engineer and training specialist. During his 25 plus years of experience he has served as FOH engineer for Carmen, Steven Curtis Chapman, Point of Grace, Women of Faith, Purdue University, Luis Pulau and too many more to count. Ed pioneered the use of analysis software in Christian music touring and was the first to design BSS Sound Web controls along with his wireless network system control for large scale live applications. Ed is certified in V-Dosc, JBL VerTec, Yamaha Digital consoles and BSS Sound Web. He is also called upon as an instructor for SIA Smaart Live software. In addition to mixing the Women of Faith Conferences, Ed consults on system designs for churches as well as handling final tunings and audio engineer training. Ed understands the needs of today’s contemporary church and has a heart to teach others all he’s learned about audio. |

Charlie Bowker – Staging Technician
A native Nashvillean, Charlie is a certified Mega-Stage technician with a CDL Class A Training. He has skillfully managed our two hydraulic mobile concert stages for a countless number of events and festivals including artists like Newsboys, Sixpence None the Richer, Thousand Foot Krutch, Third Day, Relient K, Family Force 5, Mercy Me and many more. Charlie brings his great sense of humor and professional demeanor to every event, delivering successful shows that keep the audiences coming back time and time again. |

Meri Lee Taylor – Graphic Design
Meri brings her creativity in design, advertising and corporate identity to CTS. After graduating from Ringling School of Design with a major in Interior Design and a Minor in Graphic Design, she specialized in graphics and signage for CUH2A, a renowned architectural firm headquartered in Princeton, NJ. Some of her clients there included BMW of North America, Procter & Gamble, Ely-Lilly and Nabisco before pursuing independent design for various corporate clients. Meri also has her own new venture, meandmyhouseonline.com. |

Peter Streiff – Audio Engineer
A Belmont University graduate, Peter serves as an Audio Engineer for our Performance Audio business unit. A former CTS Audio intern, Peter has come up through the ranks and proven himself to be a valuable engineer. He has a good mix of skills and can be deployed to work on many different aspects of shows. When not working as a audio engineer, Peter enjoys song writing, sailing and traveling. |

Trish Dubes – Graphic Services Manager
Raised in Iowa, Trish Dubes graduated with honors from Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in Graphic Design. Straight out of college, she went to work for the Tennessee Baptist Convention as a Graphic Designer and was later promoted to Creative Director during her 7 year stent. With creativity bursting out of her, Trish joins the CTS Audio team as our Graphic Services Manager and makes an excellent addition to the marketing team. She spends her free time rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes, cooking, playing volleyball and enjoying the great outdoors. |
